Find missing encoders in SAM Broadcaster
Find SAM Broadcaster’s encoder window before adding a SHOUTcast connection.
Reviewed · Follow the instructions supplied with your own rental.
Before you start
Check the exact SAM product, edition and version first. An edition without external streaming encoders cannot be fixed by rearranging its desktop panels.
Steps
- Check the product name in your software. SAM DJ is intended for local playback and does not include streaming encoders.
- SAM Broadcaster Live-DJ is tied to its associated SAM Broadcaster Cloud station and does not let you add an encoder.
- For other editions, check Spacial’s documentation and licence options. Contact Spacial about software access or upgrades.
Check it worked
An edition that supports external broadcasting exposes an encoder panel and lets you add the required encoder. Software licence and edition questions belong with Spacial.
If it does not work
- SAM DJ: intended for local playback and does not provide streaming encoders.
- SAM Broadcaster Live-DJ: linked to its associated Cloud station; external encoder controls differ.
- Supported edition but missing window: check the saved desktop layout and installed version’s help.
